Are you starting to think about your living situation for next year? If you’re thinking of moving off campus, the best place to check out a lot of your options is the Fall Off-Campus Living Fair on Wednesday, October 10 from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge. This event is hosted by Off-Campus Student Services (OCSS).
The Fair will feature properties and apartment complexes that have partnered with OCSS as well as other resources that will be useful for students who live off campus. These resources can be incredibly beneficial for students living off campus and give them the information they need to succeed. Students will also have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including a TV, Yeti coolers, Beats headphones, gift cards, and more!
If you can’t make it to the fair, you can always explore housing options at offcampushousing.uark.edu, the official off-campus housing website for the University. Through the website, you can filter through housing options, look for roommates or post on the discussion boards.
The OCSS website also has a host of resources about making the transition to off-campus life, such as an Off-Campus Living Guide, a guide to off-campus expenses, and more! Staff are also available to review leases, answer questions about landlord/tenant law, address roommate conflicts, and the like. For more information about Off-Campus Student Services, email iliveoff@uark.edu, call 479-575-7351, or visit Arkansas Union 632.
