A-Week is designed to assist incoming first-year students in their transition from high school to college by providing programming focused on student success in and outside of their classroom experience. A-Week begins after students move-in and runs until the day before classes start. Each day of A-Week focuses on a specific theme related to student success: Academic Success, Campus Traditions, Campus Involvement, Diversity, and Wellness.
A-Week connects incoming students with both new and upper-class Razorbacks, as each new student will be placed into a small group, called A-Teams, which are led by the A-Week Mentors.
A-Week Mentors will work to facilitate the objectives and small-group activities as they relate to the A-Week fall transition initiative. A-Week Mentors will be required to attend the daily topic-specific programs, small group discussions and various campus social events throughout the week’s programming. Mentors will provide valuable insight and knowledge about their new home and how to be successful students at the University of Arkansas.
Applications will open April 1st and our priority applications will be accepted through April 30, 2021.
