1. Simplicity – Housing costs are billed directly to your university account. No need to worry about a last-minute heating bill or that panicked feeling about rent being due. One charge covers it all — housing and food.
  2. Upperclass Housing— Gibson and Gregson Halls are made up of approximately 80 percent upper-class students. Walton and Founders Halls are also nearby in the center part of campus. These residence halls are all located at or near the top of Dickson Street. They are in close proximity to Brough Dining Hall, Starbucks, Slim Chickens, and the Greek Theatre.
  3. Education– Grades matter. Research shows that students living on campus are more likely to graduate. They make better grades. University Housing staff members work hard to build a positive community of academic and social support through event programming and leadership development.
  4. Community – Living on campus among more than 5,600 other young adults is an experience that remains forever memorable. Resident assistants (RAs) work in each hall to create a community that encourages the best.
  5. Services– University Housing staff members are a phone call or email away for students who need help. FIX IT and ResNet are two core services included with campus housing. FIX IT ensures nothing goes unrepaired and ResNet keeps your devices online.
  6. Safety – The university boasts its own fully accredited police department. Substations, including one at Reid Hall, provide police officers quick access to student residence facilities. Residential staff members are also trained to spot when the stress of school becomes too much. Counselors-in-residence (CIR’s) can discretely and sensitively offer help when you need someone to talk to about things.
