Spring Break has come and gone, so that means we are more than halfway done with the academic year! Fall will be here before you know it – have you made a decision about where to live next year? If you’re considering living off campus, or have already signed a lease, Off-Campus Student Services is here to help!

If you are still looking for housing, offcampushousing.uark.edu is a great asset. Students can search housing listings complete with photos, prices, and amenity listings. This site also allows students to see other students that are looking for roommates for 2018-19.

Navigating off-campus housing, applications, leases, and community ordinances can be difficult! The Off-Campus Living Guide can be a helpful resource as students navigate the transition to life as a commuter student. This guide explains the different types of housing available in NWA, budget considerations, a roommate contract, transportation information, and more.

Budget is a big constraint for many students, but how can you set a budget when you have no idea what things cost? Especially when the housing market around the University can be very different than that of your hometown. Off-Campus Student Services created a Guide to: Off-Campus Living Expenses to inform about median rent amounts for student apartments, traditional apartments, and single-family homes, as well as fees and estimated utility costs.

Off-Campus Student Services has a variety of other resources about off-campus living on their website and is happy to review leases with students. Please call 479-575-7351 or email iliveoff@uark.edu with any questions about off-campus living or to schedule a lease review.
