OLLI: Great Decisions

Great Decisions is the United States’ largest discussion program on world affairs. OLLI at the University of Arkansas has been a participant for five years, affording adult learners an opportunity to explore foreign policy issues and options facing our nation. This semester’s Great Decisions program highlights eight of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing the United States – some long standing and others emerging in our often unsettled world. Anticipated topics are Defense Technology, Israel, the Islamic Awakening, Turkey, Energy Independence, China’s Foreign Policy, Food and Climate, and U.S. Trade Policy. Participants will receive a Briefing Book and a weekly discussion guide providing background information, current data and policy options for each topic. These provide focus for this weekly discussion group.
