The application period for the ASG Razorback Action Group is from January 27th to February 7th. These positions are open to all University of Arkansas students and they will serve for the remainder of the academic year. “Being involved in Shared Governance at the University of Arkansas is an excellent opportunity for a student’s growth and development. Members of the Razorback Action Group will receive first-hand experience in advocating for student interests at the state and national level. Being active in ASG as a part of the Razorback Action Group under the Executive Cabinet, will provide an invaluable service to students here at the You of A,” said ASG President Bo Renner
Members of the Razorback Action Group will serve as representatives of the Associated Student Government at the University of Arkansas, in local, state, and federal special interests. They will work on behalf of students to assure that government officials at all levels are aware of the most important issues to our student body. This team will explore ways throughout the year to unite and excite our student body when it comes to governmental relations and higher education issues.
“Students should join the Razorback Action Group because it will give them the opportunity to advocate for students to legislators at all levels. This group is a great way to gain leadership skills and to work to make life better for your fellow student. An added bonus of the group is the ability to take a trip to Little Rock to meet other student leaders from across the state,” said ASG Chief of Staff Autumn Lewis.
Any questions regarding the Razorback Action Group should be referred to Chief of Staff Autumn Lewis at asgcab1@uark.edu or Director of External Relations Nathan Coulter at ncoulter@uark.edu.
